A.J. Burnett今天(20日)被掃出生涯最慘14安，雖然失4分(3分自責分)不算多，海盜終場仍以1比4輸給國民，終止最近8連勝高潮。

從1999年開始大聯盟生涯，38歲的Burnett從來沒有單場被敲如此多安打，今天先發6.2局，被掃14安寫下個人最慘紀錄。

一路受到國民先發投手Joe Ross壓制，海盜終場1比4輸球，終止最近8連勝高潮。Burnett吞下敗投，本季成績6勝3敗自責分率2.05。

國民總教練Matt Williams說：「今天A.J.的球比較高，我們有因此得利。這場比賽進攻上有很多機會，而且是我們自己創造的，這點很不錯。」

Ross先發7.1局送出11次三振，被敲出6支安打失1分，獲得本季第2勝(1敗)自責分率2.66。

年僅22歲的Ross說：「我一直認為自己夠好，才能站上大聯盟的舞台，但我沒想到這麼快就能有好表現。」
